New Yorkers massively leave the state
Residents of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut are massively leaving these states, heading mainly to the western regions of the United States.
This is evidenced by the data of the annual study. National movers study, writes NBC.
For the third year in a row, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut are among the top states from which residents most actively leave: 61% of movements in New Jersey are departures from the state, for New York this figure is also 61%, for Connecticut - 57%.
Michael Stoll, an economist and professor at the University of California at Los Angeles, said that this study reflects the general trend of Americans moving to Western states, where the weather is better, jobs are greater, and life is cheaper.

- Washington

Illinois with 63% leaving the state ranked first among the most deserted states for the first time, for the first five years before the championship belonged to New Jersey.
