Florida resident arrested for threatening to execute mass shooting at Disneyland
23-year-old Derek Eytel from Brevard County (Florida) threatened to shoot at Walt Disney World.
He made this statement in a group chat on a social network. Facebook, writes Florida Today.
"5 likes, and I'll go shoot Disney, and then I’ll hang myself,” the man wrote in the chat.
In the group conversation at that time, according to the police, there were more 800 participants. Two of them reported the threat to the police.
During the interrogation, Aitel admitted that he did write a threat about shooting in a group chat from his smartphone.
Eitela was charged with stating the threat of murder or injury in writing. He is in the Brevard county jail, the court assigned him a bail of 100 thousand dollars.
