When I moved to New York, I became interested in Snapchat because it's so eye-catching. Advertising in Times Square, in addition, at all events people film not with their phone cameras, but on Snapchat. My American friends were constantly Snapchatting. At first I just watched others in the feed, and then I started doing it myself. Now I shoot on it more often than on Instagram or on camera. And I would be very happy if my friends also Snapchatted me pieces of the kicker and the people I miss so much.

But when I say to the Russian-speaking “look in the Snepchat”, they often ask how to use it. So I decided to tell you how and why.

Why Snechat, if there is Instagram?

“Either this is the most ingenious of social networks, or complete crap, I have not yet understood” - this is the most accurate quotation describing the Snowmen. If for Instagram you need to process and come up with a signature, then everything will fly away to Snepchat as it is, 10 photos and videos in a minute, without retouching and composition, selfie, filled up horizon, real live moments - all there.

If in Instagram it is still possible to simulate the number of followers and the beautiful life with the calculations of cosmetics on the table, then it is difficult in the Dnipro region, you have to live a really interesting life there, so that it will be interesting to follow (even friends).

The interface at Snepchat, perhaps, is not the most understandable, but everything is simple, if you figure it out once. There is a main screen (camera), svayp left - chat, right - tape friends, on top settings. See the screen layout below.

How to post a photo?

Take a photo with your app's camera, click on the square with a plus sign at the bottom and add it to My story. You can also add your snaps to general streams. For example, we have a New York stream where people post their videos, and often this is where I find out important news about the city. About how the Nintendo Festival went, how people sang Imagine in memory of Orlando, about bike rides, concerts in Central Park, or about the fact that the church on the next street was burning (it happened). Below the friends' feed, there are "Stories" on some topic - a basketball game, golf, master's prom, or yoga in the park - ranked by location (in Chicago, I was shown different "Stories" than in New York).

Can I upload a photo from my phone?

No, you can only take a camera built into the app, that's the point, no yesterday's photos.

How to add smilies, text, draw over the photo?

At the top right of the camera screen there are icons for stickers, text and a pencil. Recently we added a lot of cool stickers, in addition to emojis. You can even put stickers on the video that will move behind the object in the frame; just select the sticker and hold it in the place where the object is located. For example, a dog is running and there is a heart sticker on it.

How to see old photos?

Photos are stored all 24 hours, and the old photos can not be viewed because there is no profile as such. And you see snaps of a person only if you foul him.

How to shoot a video?

Hold down the round camera button.

Switch to the front camera (double tap on the screen) and hold your finger on the face, so the app identifies that the face is in the frame, and then the exhibitionism hours. :)

How to see who follows you?

On the camera screen, click on the icon Un-top in the middle, and there on Added me. For some reason, my folowers are not displayed one by one, in the morning the figure is 810, in the evening 840, and in the list I see far from everyone who zavolov me.

How to remove a person from friends?

Hold your finger on his name in the list, and in the pop-up, there will be an unfollow function.

Either the person does not post anything or he has the privacy of the Custom account, his photos are seen only by those whom he fouls in return. Be sure to check your settings to Who can view my story - was Everyone.

How to view a person's profile?

If you don’t foul a person, then you can’t see his photo, there are no profiles. The desktop version of Snepchat does not exist either.

How does the chat work?

You can send a snipe to a friend personally. If you closed the chat, the messages are deleted. You can still comment on individual snaps of friends; it’s enough to click on Chat at the bottom of the screen (if this function is enabled).

If you make friends, it is interesting to watch their lives, especially if you are far from each other. I have a couple of people whom I personally don’t know, but it’s still interesting to watch them exactly in the Dnipro, and not on Instagram. In the Snake they are more real or something.

Whom would I advise you to foul until you have planted all your friends:

• eggcanvas - about New York;
• kimkardashian - to see that even top stars are ordinary people;
• steffie_gie is a German model in LA to see how many people snatch.

Go through your favorite guys on Instagram. Usually those who conduct Snapchat write their nickname in the profile description, this way you can also find someone to follow. Well, and your friends, of course, that’s the most interesting thing.
