For two months, the US economy has grown by 2,3 percent
From April to June 2015, the US economy experienced a significant increase - plus 2,3 percent. This happened after a harsh winter, during which it grew at very low rates.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, in the second quarter the largest economy in the world continued to grow due to a noticeable increase in consumer spending and exports. The ministry significantly adjusted its initial forecast, according to which, in the first three months of the year, the American economy shrank by 0,2 percent, concluding that it, on the contrary, grew, but only slightly: by only 0,6 percent.
Consumer spending, which accounts for 70 percent, increased by 2,9 percent during the spring months; Recall that in the period from January to May, the corresponding figure was 1,8 percent.
Analysts expect that in the last quarter of the year the economy will continue to grow, and the growth rate may rise to three percent, as consumer spending also increases as new employers hire employees.
