1. HOUSE-MUSEUM AND PARK BONNET/BONNET HOUSE MUSEUM & GARDENS (Fort Lauderdale)

History: In 1919, the Chicago-based artist and art collector Frederick Bartlett and his wife Helen received this piece of land, which is now located from the A1A highway to the Intracoastal channels, inherited from his father Helene.
In 1925, Helen died, and six years later Frederic Bartlett married Evelyn Lilly. The artist and his wife became the ideologues of all eclecticism in the estate, bringing together a large collection of works from around the world.
Evelyn continued to replenish the collection until 1983, and, after her death, bequeathed to transfer the park and museum with the entire collection to the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation, leaving a million dollars to support the work of the museum.
Now the museum is protected by Save America's Treasures as a rare cultural and historical value.
