'I hate them': woman suggests creating child-free neighborhoods for adults to relax

An Australian woman has launched a controversial call for "adults only" suburbs. There will be a strict rule prohibiting holidays with children. Many parents agree with her. The publication spoke in more detail about such an initiative. Daily Mail.

Melbourne-based TikToker, known as Baby Soja, 27, believes these zones should be for people like her who "hate children."

TikToker said she was "very fed up" with children disturbing the "peace and quiet" of pools and other public spaces.

Some annoyed people advised her to "move to a retirement village" if she wanted to relax. But others admitted they would use all their savings to move to a childless suburb.

“I would like to know when someone plans to open an adults-only suburb where everything in it is for adults only,” Soja said. “I’m so tired of kids screaming everywhere you go.” Is it possible to put up with this?

Her irritation arose after she went for a swim in the pool, and the children jumped back and forth and interfered.

“They have their own pool. “They don’t swim, they just jump and scream, and this is simply allowed, because they can do this everywhere,” she was indignant. “In my opinion, people like me, who are angry and hate children, should have our own suburb where we can live quietly and peacefully.”

People reacted very ambiguously to the controversial video, but the idea was accepted by the vast majority, including hundreds of parents.

“As a mom, I agree. I hate it when you go out to dinner without your kids and have to suffer in the presence of strangers. There should be more adult-only seats,” one woman said.

“Not just for people who hate kids. I think that adults who have children would also like to take a break from them,” agreed another commentator.

“I would spend all my savings to get to such a community,” supported another.

However, opponents of such an idea told Soja that such zones exist and are called “pensioner villages”.

“Yes, children can be annoying and we need privacy. But kids are just kids, they can't help but scream because they're still too small," wrote one of the followers.

“You know, you were a child too. So just stop getting old,” wrote another user.

TikToker responded to those who left nasty comments.

“Some people don't want to be around their kids 24/7,” she noted. “I’m not saying they shouldn’t be allowed in the pool.” It would just be nice to have more adult-only spaces, including parents looking to get away from their kids and relax.”
