Outbreak of listeriosis: frozen fruits and vegetables withdraw from sale
CRF Frozen Foods recalls more than 350 types of frozen vegetables and fruits, which are sold under 42 trademarks. This is due to an outbreak of listeriosis. Products were sold in such popular networks as Safeway, Trader Joe's and Costco.
Eight Americans are hospitalized with an infectious disease.
All frozen vegetables and fruits that have been processed at a plant in Pasco, WA, from 1 May 2014 to the present, carry a potential hazard and must be disposed of.
Costco Supermarket rings and sends messages to its customers asking them to return or not use purchased frozen vegetables and fruits, which can be life-threatening.
The fact is that two of the eight Americans who contracted listeriosis died. Doctors do not consider listeriosis as the official cause of their death.
In the Center for Disease Control and Prevention called the three states in which they recorded infection with a dangerous infection: California, Washington and Maryland.
