'I LIE - their life motto!': The newly elected Zelensky harshly criticized the Parliament of Ukraine

The newly elected President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, accused the Verkhovna Rada of lying.

“The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is abbreviated as the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. VRU is their life motto,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

To support his accusations, he published a quote from Speaker of Parliament Andrei Parubiy: “We promise you that on May 14 we will definitely set the date for the inauguration.”

“Remember the names of the deputies of this convocation. And at the next parliamentary elections, draw conclusions. Let’s do them together!” Zelensky added.

The meeting of the Committee on the Verkhovna Rada on the date of inauguration will be held on May 15, since before the 14 of May, parliament may still receive decisions on the date of the oath.

Zelensky insists on holding the inauguration in May. Some people's deputies are against it and believe that he should get his post no earlier than 1 June.

A draft resolution was also submitted to the Rada, which establishes the inauguration in two stages: in May in the Rada and in June at the NSC Olimpiysky.
