In Florida, an alligator 4,5 meter long attacked the pensioner while she was working in the backyard garden of her house.

Happy artist Jeni Witzel, who lives in Lee County, decided to go out to the backyard of her house and take care of the garden in the English style. At that moment, an alligator attacked her.

The woman was saved by the fact that at that time she had garden tools in her hands - scissors, which she stuck into the alligator. According to the victim's friend, the alligator went 6 meters from the lake. “He must have been following her,” said Lynn Portnoy.

71-year-old woman received injuries to her arms and legs. Rescuers who arrived at the scene saw the woman in a state of shock, and then transported her by helicopter to the hospital.

Rabbi Bruce Diamond, a friend of Witzel, hopes that his injuries will not harm her artistic abilities. She wrote a picture of Robert Lee, who is in the office of Roger Dejarly, the county sheriff.

Laurie Koneke, also familiar with Witzel, said that she has a beautiful garden in the English style.

“It’s pretty scary,” she said of the attack. - This is our worst nightmare. We all have ponds in our backyards, and we all assume there's an alligator in every pond."

Neighbor Ed Lod said that Witzel lives not far from him, and he often sees her caring for her garden.

4 July Lode photographed an alligator when he lay on dry land. Florida's wildlife conservation officials said the alligator was trapped on Sunday evening and killed.

“It was just a hungry alligator,” Laud said. “Almost everyone who lives here knows not to feed alligators.”
