Volodymyr Zelensky to address Congress, while Biden plans to fly to Europe
On March 16, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will deliver a virtual address to Congress, reports Voice of America.
This was stated by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a joint letter to lawmakers. They emphasize the importance of Congressional support for Ukraine and the provision of all kinds of assistance to this country: support in the security sector, as well as economic and humanitarian.
The letter notes that "Congress remains unwavering in its commitment to support Ukraine, subjected to Putin's brutal and diabolical aggression, and to take measures that will harm and isolate the Russian economy."
Zelenskiy is seeking more help from Western countries; while he uses the form of video messages. His speech to Congress is scheduled for 9 am on March 16.
On March 15, he will address the Parliament of Canada; Zelensky's immediate plans include a speech before the Israeli Knesset. The President of Ukraine already spoke with US lawmakers on March 5, when more than 280 members of the Senate and House of Representatives took part in a video call. Then Zelensky, according to reports from those present at the conversation, "desperately asked" to provide aircraft to fight the Russian occupiers.

On March 10, Congress approved $13,6 billion in aid to Ukraine, as part of a $1,5 trillion government spending bill that will fund U.S. government activities through September 30.
Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, the United States, along with its allies, imposed a wide range of sanctions against Russia. These sanctions are being added. Thus, on March 11, President Joe Biden announced that the United States would seek to end normal trade relations with Russia. It also announced a ban on the import of Russian seafood, vodka and diamonds into the United States and a ban on the import of luxury goods from the United States into Russia. US President Joe Biden is likely to visit Poland as part of a possible trip to Europe next week - however, neither the European trip as a whole nor plans for Warsaw have yet been confirmed, reports Ukrainian Truth.
First, information appeared about Biden's possible trip to Brussels for a personal meeting with the leaders of NATO countries. The meeting of the US president with allies in Brussels is likely to take place on March 23 - three sources give such a preliminary date.
According to one of the interlocutors, Biden may also visit Poland, which should be an additional signal of solidarity.
White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki noted that there are no final decisions regarding the trip yet.

Biden's likely visit to Europe comes after Vice President Kamala Harris' visit to Poland and Romania last week.
Three administration officials said some of the staff working on Harris's visit remained in Europe to help plan a possible presidential visit to the region.
