Makeup artist on TV show showed how to hide traces of beating her husband
The Moroccan national channel 2M during the daytime show showed women how to hide traces of beatings from their husband with the help of cosmetics and “calmly continue to go about their daily business”.
A smiling make-up artist demonstrated this on a model that previously had fake bruises and scratches, reports The Guardian.
This program was shown on November 23 - just 2 days before the International Day against Violence against Women.
The reaction from viewers was immediate - many signed a petition demanding an apology from the channel, after which the video was removed from their official 2M website, although it is still circulating on Twitter.

The channel also posted a “clarification” on its page in Facebook, arguing that the program was “completely inappropriate and was the result of an editorial error regarding the sensitivity and severity of violence against women.”
