After legalizing same-sex marriage in the USA, Moscow video bloggers decided to test tolerance towards same-sex unions. “We decided to check how people in Russia and here in Moscow would react to same-sex relationships. To do this, we installed a hidden camera in a backpack and are going to take an hour-long walk around the city,” the young people say at the beginning of the video.
The guys filmed with a hidden camera the reaction of Muscovites to young people holding hands and calmly walking along the streets. The video is eloquently called “Beating up homosexuals in Russia.”
It doesn’t come to a fight as such: the guys promptly cool down the ardor of particularly zealous citizens who are pushing and provoking young people into conflict. In addition, the three-minute video contains a lot of curse words towards “homosexuals” holding hands.
