A Myrtle Beach, South Carolina woman watched in shock as an alligator crawled up to her front door and stood on its hind legs, trying to “ring” the doorbell.
As the New York Post With reference to ABC11, Karen Alfano discovered an 6,5-foot (almost two-meter) alligator at the front door of her house.
The video shows how the alligator is trying to climb the Alfano door, which looked like trying to ring the doorbell.

The alligator damaged the walkway near the house and left scratches on the door, but was unable to break the door window and get inside. Having “ringed” the doorbell, he calmly lay down on the threshold of the house.
When South Carolina Department of Natural Resources officials arrived to pick up the alligator, they found another one a mile (1,6 kilometers) from Alfano's home - this reptile was up to 10 feet (3 meters) long. Both alligators were taken away.

The publication reports that Alfano, a former resident of New Jersey, recently moved to her new home in South Carolina.
South Carolina Department of Natural Resources officials are asking locals not to call them if the alligator does not exceed 5 feet (1,5 meters) in length, noting that young alligators do not pose a threat to people.
