In Texas, a patrolman accidentally shot a woman when he shot a dog that attacked him.

The officer, whose name is not reported, arrived in the suburb of Dallas in Arlington, after a witness said that the woman had fainted.

The Arlington Police Department reported that the officer saw the dog next to the woman when he arrived at the scene. According to investigators, the dog belonged to the victim.

“The officer asked the woman numerous times how she was feeling, but each time the dog barked and tried to attack the officer,” police said.

Then the dog began to attack him. When the aggressive actions did not stop, he shot her several times and moved back.

Then the woman “screamed”, according to a department report, and it became clear that she had been hurt. She was taken to the nearest hospital, where they stated death.

The victim was identified as Margarita Brooks, an 30-year-old woman, known locally as Maggie. The source told the NY Post that she was homeless and regularly with her boyfriend in a shopping center near the place where she was shot.

According to the department, the incident was captured on the officer’s cell, which would be part of the ongoing investigation.

A police spokeswoman declined to provide additional information, including how long the officer worked in the department.
