US to host 50 Veterans Day naturalization ceremonies
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will hold several Veterans Day naturalization ceremonies around the country. The event is designed to welcome veterans, military personnel, and military spouses as new citizens of America. This is stated in the press release of the department.
More than 3900 naturalization candidates, including US military personnel, veterans and their families, will be sworn in at 50 ceremonies.
“These events honor the sacrifices they have made while serving our country and highlight our agency's commitment to providing immigration services to the military community,” USCIS said in a statement.
“USCIS is grateful to all US service members, veterans and their families who have placed their trust in America. We are honored to play such an important role in supporting military personnel on their path to citizenship so that they can become full citizens of the country they are already sworn to protect, ”said Director Ur Juddou.

This year, USCIS recognizes retired U.S. Army Brigadier General Stephen Michael as a Distinguished American by Choice during a naturalization ceremony at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History on November 10.
“Through the Outstanding Americans by Choice initiative, USCIS recognizes the achievements of naturalized U.S. citizens who have demonstrated their commitment to this country and the shared civic values that unite all Americans,” USCIS said.
