In Russia, the legendary American robbers Bonnie and Clyde were ranked among the front-line soldiers who were separated by the war

Russian propagandists during a concert on the occasion of the Victory Day showed a photo of American gangsters Bonnie and Clyde among the pictures of the inhabitants of the USSR, separated by the Second World War.

The live broadcast of Channel One, which broadcast a gala concert on the occasion of Victory Day, featured a photograph of American thieves Bonnie and Clyde, who operated in the late 1920s and 1930s.

At the concert they showed photographs of residents of the Soviet Union who were separated by the Second World War. The photo appeared during the performance of the song “If there were no war” by Russian singer Zara.

The photo of Bonnie and Clyde that appeared during the concert was taken in 1933, a year before their death.

Bonnie and Clyde (real names Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Burrow) are famous American criminals who robbed banks and rural shops in US towns. Between 1931 and 1934, together with their gang, they killed at least 9 policemen and 4 civilians. Bonnie and Clyde were killed on May 23, 1934.

They were in a romantic relationship with each other.

Careful coverage of their crimes by the American press popularized them with the public during the economic hardship of the Great Depression. Subsequently, pop culture and the film industry have created an engaging and adventurous image of lovers battling their odds against the system of power and law enforcement.

Press Secretary Konstantin Yaroshevsky said that the Kremlin Palace was checking the incident.

“We are currently dealing with those specialists we involved, who were responsible for the content, for the selection of videos,” says Yaroshevsky.

He assures that a third-party organization was involved in the video. But the spokesman is sure the mistake was made by accident, not intentionally.
