Milwaukee police captain Warren Allen said ten people were taken into custody and nine firearms were seized during the shooting in downtown Milwaukee.

The age of the wounded is from 15 to 47 years.

“Suddenly everyone ran,” recalled witness Brittany Bergstrom, who was in a nearby restaurant. “There was a crush, people were hiding in the bushes, hats and boots were lying on the ground, drinks were spilling everywhere.”

The boyfriend, Brittany said, dragged her behind a brick wall: “And if he wasn’t there, the outcome would have been very different. And that's all I know: everyone rushed to run, and I continued to stand.

According to Allen, two men 26 and 29 years old, as well as a 16-year-old girl, were injured in the shootout near the arena. According to the forecasts, the captain assured, they would all survive.

“In connection with this incident, a 19-year-old boy was taken into custody,” Allen said.

The incident happened around 21:12 p.m. near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. and Highland Avenue.

Police have not released the names of those involved or their motives.
