In Ohio, a dog strangled to death a four-month-old girl
Ohio authorities said the four-month-old girl could accidentally suffocate due to the family's puppy sitting on her. New York Post.
Little Raylynne Larrison was found unconscious at about 19:00 pm at a house in Dayton by her father, who noticed that the puppy was lying on the girl.
The baby's father, in desperation, called the emergency services.
“The puppy was lying on top of her and I just noticed it,” says a recording of the call obtained by dispatchers at the department.
“She's not breathing. My baby is not breathing,” the desperate father continued, according to the Dayton Daily News.
Raylinn was taken to Dayton Children's Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
"It's terrible if you can't control animals and children that age," neighbor Lonnie Napier told the publication. Dayton247. “I hope they take care of this dog one way or another so that it doesn’t hurt anyone.”

Family members who organized a funeral fundraiser on the GoFundMe page called the child's death "an unexpected tragedy."
Although the cause of death is still being investigated by the Montgomery County Coroner's Office and the breed of the dog is unknown, there are some tips that parents can use to protect their kids from pets.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends never leaving a small child and a dog or cat alone with a child. And never disturb a dog or cat that is sleeping or eating. Dogs in these situations are more likely to react aggressively even to a person they know.
Or if the child is asleep, close the door and make sure there are no pets in the bedroom.
