Cooling is expected in New York
The US is facing a stream of arctic air, which will bring cold temperatures to the northern regions of the country, including New York.
Cooling will start from December 11, the portal reports Weather.com.
Temperatures in Chicago will drop to 39 degrees Fahrenheit (about 4 degrees Celsius); in Boston - up to 38 degrees (+3 Celsius); in New York - up to 40 degrees (about +4 degrees Celsius); in Cleveland and Minneapolis - up to 34 degrees (+1 Celsius).
On December 12, temperatures will continue to drop, but not in all cities: Chicago - 23 degrees Fahrenheit (-5 degrees Celsius); Boston - 44 degrees (about +7 Celsius), New York - 47 degrees (+8 Celsius); Washington (DC) - 49 degrees (+9 Celsius).
December 13 will be one of the coldest days of the week, with temperatures in most cities in the northern United States hovering around 30 degrees Fahrenheit (-1 Celsius).
December 14 temperature will start to rise gradually, but only a few degrees Fahrenheit.
