The Edge
Almost a year after the first parts of the Hudson Yards mega-project were open to the public, its main highlight - the Edge observation deck - is also ready to welcome the first visitors. Its opening is scheduled for March 11.
The new observation deck of New York is located on one of the skyscrapers of the currently under construction high-rise quarter, on the western side of Manhattan, under the name Hudson Yards. The viewing platform is called The Edge and will allow visitors to enjoy the view of New York from a height of 340 meters.
The main “highlight” of the observation deck is its appearance: designed in the form of a protruding platform, towering above Manhattan at the height of the 75th floor of a skyscraper. It takes only 60 seconds for visitors to get here by elevator.
The platform offers breathtaking views of Manhattan, New Jersey and the surrounding area.
In addition, there are some truly dizzying elements, such as a glass floor that allows you to look down directly at Midtown buildings.
Where to buy an admission ticket
To visit Edge, you need to buy a ticket (Now Available). Prices vary for different categories of people: the basic rate for adults is $36, for children aged 6 to 12 years - $31, for seniors - $34.
New York City residents receive a slight discount: adult tickets are $34, children's tickets are $29, and senior tickets are $32.
There is also a “flexible tariff”, which allows you to visit the observation deck on a specific day without reference to time; The prices for these tickets are $ 56 for adults, $ 51 for children and $ 54 for senior citizens.
