The first Ukrainian restaurant to open in Washington DC next year
In 2022, a Ukrainian restaurant is planned to open in Washington. Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova told about this, reports LB.UA.

“After we managed to open the Ukrainian House quite quickly, and it really became such a center, we are now very actively working on the idea of opening a Ukrainian restaurant, because, unfortunately, there is still no Ukrainian restaurant in Washington,” she noted.
According to the ambassador, there is a demand for Ukrainian cuisine in the American capital and, moreover, cuisine is “a very large tool of our cultural diplomacy.”

“Our cuisine is very tasty, we see this at the receptions that we regularly organize at the embassy, in the Ukrainian House, that dumplings, cabbage rolls, and all our Ukrainian dishes are in great demand. That’s why we work,” Markarova said.
The most famous Ukrainian restaurant in the United States is restaurant "Rainbow" in NYC. The American magazine Esquire included this particular establishment in the list of “100 restaurants that America cannot lose.”
