In California, a Russian-speaking doctor was crushed to death by a tree that fell on a car from a hill.

A California car patrol said the incident occurred near 8: 55 north of El Cerro boulevard in Danville. The accident occurred due to a fall from a hill located near the highway, the 15-18 meter tree.

“This is not normal,” said Sergeant Eric Boutavan. “You expect a deer to run into the road, or a typical road trip glitch, but a tree?” It's unusual".

Emergency crews were able to remove the body from the car. They stated the death of the driver at the scene. She was identified as 58-year-old Lyudmila Beizer from Danville. Lyudmila worked as a doctor in John muir health in walnut creek.

“We are saddened by the news of the sudden and tragic death of Dr. Lyudmila Beizer,” the clinic said in a statement. — She worked as a therapist for 15 years. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, patients, colleagues and staff during this difficult time.”

Due to the accident, almost all lanes were blocked, except for one, which caused a massive delay in the morning. By lunchtime, all lanes were reopened.

Darrell Wise, who was looking at footage shot from a helicopter, noted that the tree turned out to be a dead pine tree with a decaying root system and probably fell on the freeway in a matter of seconds.

KPIX 5 reporter Mary Lee said she saw other dead trees along I-680 in the same area where the incident occurred.

Currently, the investigation is underway to determine the causes of the accident.
