According to a new report published by Wealth-X, the United States remains the country with the largest number of millionaires in the world - more than in China, Japan, Germany, Canada and France combined.

The World Ultra Wealth Report 2019 says that there are 81 340 people with a net worth of at least 30 million dollars in the United States, which is 2,2% more than last year. Today, 31% of the world's super-rich population lives in America. In China, which ranks second, the share of multimillionaires is 24 965 people.

“Throughout the year, there were signs of a slowdown in growth due to the delayed effect of previous efforts to reduce the share of borrowed funds and to escalate trade war with the USA, - the report says. “Welfare portfolios were weighed down by the fall of the stock market and lower foreign exchange pressure against the dollar.”

9000 super-rich people live in New York, which helped him regain the title of the city with the richest residents. The city replaced Hong Kong from the first line. Hong Kong's affluent population has declined by almost 11%, mainly due to lower demand in the Chinese economy, which has been involved in more than a year trade war with the USA.

In third place is Japan, whose population in 2018 was 17 855 people, which represents a slight decrease compared to the previous year. At the same time, Germany (in fourth place) had about 2018 15 multimillionaires in 685, which is 4% more than a year ago, despite a number of economic difficulties.

Canada was in fifth place with 10 395 super-rich citizens, which is 4% less than in the 2017 year. In sixth place is France. The result remained virtually unchanged from the previous year (10 145).
