In the United States will test the mobile version of driver's license
The Delaware Department of Motor Vehicles is launching an experimental use of a mobile driver’s license. Testing will last 6 months, about 200 people will take part in it, writes USA Today.

“Delaware is one of the first states to test a mobile version of driver's licenses, and we are excited to advance this technology,” said Governor John Carney.
Jenniver Kokhan, head of the Delaware division of the Ministry of Transport, believes that the experiment will help to study how mobile rights work in real conditions.
“They will address any issues that arise during testing before we decide to roll out the app to our more than 800 drivers,” Kohan said.
Features of the new type of rights:
- The level of confidentiality during age verification increases: it is not necessary to indicate the person’s address, license number and date of birth. The mobile driving license shows a photo and indicates that the person is over 18 years old or 21 years.
- Communication with law enforcement: Law enforcement officers can ping the driver’s smartphone and request information about a driver’s license before approaching the vehicle.
- Ease of use: Mobile rights are available for all mobile devices.
- Safe access: Only a license holder can give access to a driver's license. Access is via the app in the smartphone. The driver must enter a PIN code or use face recognition to open a driver's license.
