In Chicago, Willis Tower Skydeck there was a terrible panic after the glass floor was cracked under the feet of visitors.

The incident occurred on Monday night, June 10, on the 103 floor. The Internet got the form after the top protective layer split into thousands of particles.

The protective layer covers the bottom of the glass bottom.

In Willis Tower, Skydeck assured that the protective layer did what it was intended for, and no one was ever in danger.

“During the incident [on the glass platform - ed.] there was a woman with two children. They looked very scared because the floor was cracking under their feet,” said skyscraper visitor Jesus Pintado.

“I’m afraid of heights in general, so when I saw that this happened, I couldn’t find a place,” said witness Carly Pintado.

The same thing happened in May 2014, on the same ledge.

CBS 2 turned to the Chicago Building Department to ask if they checked the floor. They said that the building engineers were monitoring this.
