Usually, a gradual decline in prices was observed already in December, but in 2016, the situation changed, the OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) reached an agreement aimed at raising oil prices, which plummeted in the past year.

This agreement will also lead to higher gasoline prices, so you should not expect that a gallon of gasoline after the New Year will be cheaper than in December.

As of December 6, the average price of a gallon of gas in the US is $ 2,18, which is 5-10 cents (depending on the state) more than a week ago.

According to experts, in the next few weeks we should expect a further increase in the cost of gasoline, on average, prices will rise by 5-15 cents.

At the same time, analysts believe that a rise in prices to 3 dollars per gallon, as was the case in the 2014 year, is unlikely.
