Alisa Vox, who had been the lead singer of the Leningrad group since 2012, unexpectedly left the group, despite the stunning success of the song “Exhibit”. At the same time, the explanations of Vox and the group leader Sergei Shnurov contradict each other.

At the 24 March concert in Moscow, Shnurov unexpectedly introduced two new soloists to fans, who replaced Vox on the stage.

“Everyone asks me - where is Alice? In my opinion, this is a stupid question, since it is obvious that she is not here. But we will answer with a song that Adolfych will perform,” “Shnur” said from the stage, after which it began to play extremely foul song, the meaning of which is reduced to the wishes to go far away.

The leader of Leningrad, as Russian media reported, was dissatisfied with the fact that Alisa “became starstruck and began to allow herself too much,” especially after the triumphant “Exhibit.”

ForumDaily previously reported that the Leningrad group’s video for the song “Exhibit” topped the chart Russian iTunes. At the moment, the video only on YouTube has already collected more than 60 million views.

In addition, after the release of the song, which contains the phrase “Seryoga took me to the Van Gogh exhibition,” increased attendance exhibition “Van Gogh: Living Paintings 2.0” in Moscow.

Alice Vox herself reported in Instagramme, that she decided to leave Leningrad for the sake of a solo career, thanking Shnurov and all the group members.

“Working with Sergei Shnurov gave me a huge experience of stage life, I am eternally grateful to him for the opportunity to develop and improve. I also thank all the musicians and people close to the group who have been there and supported me for the last 3,5 years. Wish me good luck on my new path, and we’ll hear from you again very soon,” Vox wrote.

Sergey Shnurov later laid out video with new soloists. Following this, he wrote that he was making “quite stars out of average singers.”

“I come up with an image, material, and promote it. I decide how to present them so that they will be loved. Well, not exactly theirs, an image, of course. Through the efforts of our team, we create a mythical heroine out of nothing. This is our job. And it is precisely because we do our job well that complaints and dissatisfaction arise,” unequivocally hinted he is in conflict with the ex-soloist of the Cords.

Alisa Vox, in turn, insists that she and Shnurov “divorced on a positive note,” and she even helped him with the selection of new vocalists.

As tells "Fontanka", one of the singers is Vasilisa Starshova, she graduated from the Shlisselburg music school, and the second is Florida Chanturia, who is a graduate of the pop-jazz department of the St. Petersburg Institute of Culture.
