Hurricane Dorian approaches US: Airports cancel thousands of flights and close

On September 3, travelers returning home from a long weekend or business trip faced another round of widespread flight cancellations, this time due to Hurricane Dorian approaching the East Coast. As of 15 p.m., US airlines had canceled nearly 00 domestic and international flights.

Miami International Airport: 136 Cancellations. Airport officials said there were no more concerns about the hurricane, but passengers were warned of the residual cancellations of flights.

Travelers are not recommended to buy tickets for flights to or from Florida until the confusion and confusion with canceling flights ends.

The number of flight cancellations gradually increased throughout Tuesday in the region's two main airline hubs, Atlanta and Charlotte, North Carolina. Delta Air Lines is based in Atlanta, and American Airlines is based in Charlotte.

Also on Tuesday morning, 367 flights at Chicago O'Hara International Airport and 42 flights at Chicago Midway International Airport were canceled.
