Unique restaurant prison in New York, which is certainly worth a visit

In Tioga County, in a small town along the Susquehanna River, lies the Calaboose Grille - you read that right, it was once the local jail. Located right on Main Street in Owego and still equipped with iron window bars to this day, the Calaboose Grille takes its name from Cajun slang—"calaboo" means "jail," he writes. Only in Your State.
Take a peek into this corner, one of the area's most distinctive restaurants, and you'll discover that the old cells still contain tables and shelves.
The restaurant was opened by its current owners back in 2011 year, and the opening of the prison dates back to 1910 year.
Calaboose Grille offers a menu for lunch and dinner. These are exclusively freshly prepared dishes: steak, seafood, pasta, hamburgers, sandwiches and other goodies.
A unique chance to immerse yourself directly in local history, you won't find any other restaurant in New York State that allows you to dine in a real prison cell.
