The family of the mayor of one of Russia's largest cities, Nizhny Novgorod, Ivan Karnilin, owns two apartments in Miami, Florida.

It was an investment - then the dollar cost about 30 rubles, I worked in a commercial structure, and the law did not prohibit owning foreign real estate. Since March 2015, I am divorced, the apartments belong to the ex-wife. I became the head of the city six months after the divorce, ”the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod said.
Ivan Karnilin has been the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod since October 2015.
