US President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19. He is isolated in the White House and will continue to perform all his duties during this time. This is stated in statement by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on the official website.
Biden is fully vaccinated, boosted twice and is experiencing very mild symptoms. According to Jean-Pierre, the president has already started taking Paxlovid.
Biden continues to work, but now remotely.
“He contacted White House staff by phone this morning and will participate in scheduled meetings via phone and Zoom from the residence,” Jean-Pierre said.
