'Thousands of bees': a border agent saved an immigrant with a child from a swarm of insects
Агента пограничной службы США провозгласили героем после того, как он спас иммигрантку и ее восьмилетнего сына, обнаружив, что женщину и ребенка атаковали «тысячи пчел».
US Customs and Border Protection officials said an agent patrolling a site along the Rio Grande in Brownsville, Texas, noticed a small swarm of bees, writes Fox News.
After the destruction of the insects, an agent, whose name is not called, tried to track down the source from which the swarm appeared. As a result, he found a jacket and a large bundle, "covered with thousands of bees." Further verification showed that in reality it was not a bundle, but a woman “curled up in the fetal position”.
On the subject: The number of children and families detained at the border has increased dramatically
The agent told the woman to get up and run to his unit, and then he discovered that the woman was protecting the child so that the bees would not harm him.
Once safe, the agent examined the mother and child and called an ambulance. While they were waiting for the doctors, the 8-year-old child started vomiting, which is why the border agent himself took them directly to the hospital.
The immigrant and son were placed in the intensive care unit. According to officials, they will fully recover.
Позже выяснилось, что мать и сын — граждане Гватемалы.
