Tourists from the USA sneaked into the Colosseum at night for a beer
Two American tourists entered the Colosseum early in the morning for a beer. Writes about it with the BBC.
They were seen seated on the second ring of the ancient gladiatorial stadium at approximately 05:30 local time.
At night, entry to the nearly 2000-year-old monument is prohibited.
Both tourists are a little over 20 years old. The police will not release their names. The tourists were fined 800 euros ($ 905) after they admitted to having illegally entered the Colosseum.
