Trump released his NFT collection, and it's amazing
On December 14, the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, posted an unexpected video on your Truth Social page. In the video, the politician appeared in a superhero costume and promised that on December 15 he would present something that would delight his fans. With this mega surprise turned out to be the NFT project (digital picture tokens), which, according to Trump, presents his life and career as “amazing art.”
It's hard to say about the amazing art, but these "digital trading cards" are really worth seeing. To distribute them, the Trump team created special site. On the cards, the politician appears as a cowboy, an astronaut, an athlete, a superhero and many other cult characters.
Each NFT costs $99. Some are available in just one copy, while others are available in two, five, seven, or 10 copies. There are a total of 45 cards in the initial release, and according to the site, they are all sold out as of December 000th.
Prizes for buyers from Trump
В promotional video to the NFT project, Trump claims he is "better than [Abraham] Lincoln and better than [George] Washington." But then he gets to the main and most interesting part: “Each card gives you an automatic chance to win amazing prizes like dinner with me. I don't know if it's an amazing prize, but that's what we have."
In addition to dinner, fans of the politician can win a game of golf at one of his courses (Trump himself will also play), a conversation with the 45th president via Zoom, his autograph, and more. The main prize is a ticket to a gala dinner with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago residence in South Florida. Full list of prizes - here.
The money raised will not go to the campaign.
It is logical to assume that all the money raised for the NFT will go to support the campaign for the re-election of Trump as president. However, the organizers claim that this is not the case. According to the page of NFT INT LLC, which is listed as the organizer of the NFT auction, “These digital trading cards are not political and have nothing to do with any political campaign. NFT INT LLC is not owned, operated, or controlled by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization, CIC Digital LLC, or any of their respective officers or affiliates."
However, it is not clear from this where the collected money will go.
