Just because you're retiring and you don't have an unlimited budget doesn't mean you have to settle for living in your preferred place just to make ends meet.

Retirement should be accompanied by enjoying life with minimal stress. It is very beneficial to spend some time in the sun. However, to do so on a budget, you need to choose a retirement destination that is not only affordable, but also has a welcoming climate.

Most often, retirees find the most affordable and sunniest places to retire in the southernmost state of the continental United States - Florida. In fact, one third of the 15 US cities on this list are in Florida.

To qualify for the study, each city had to meet the following requirements: more than 25% of the population must be 65 years of age or older, the average home price must be below the national average of $331, and the required average annual temperature must be moderate limits.
