Famous Russian and Soviet actor Valentin Gaft died on December 12. The artist was 85 years old, writes RBC.

Gaft will be buried on December 15 at the Troekurovsky cemetery on the alley of actors, and in the morning on the same day the actor will be said to farewell at the Sovremennik theater.

Valentin Gaft was born in Moscow in 1935. At 22, he graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School, after which he worked in Theater named after Mossovet, Lenkom, Moscow Drama Theater and Satire Theater. Since 1969, Gaft served at Sovremennik. In 1984 he received the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR.
