How many citizens of post-Soviet countries won green cards in 2022
On May 6, the results of the DV-2024 lottery became known. And while many check resultspreparing to move State Department releases data, how many citizens of different countries issued green cards based on the results of the lottery for 2022.

Most of the new residents of the United States received from Nepal. From there, 3 new green card holders arrived.
Now let's look at the post-Soviet countries, and how many people received green cards from each of them.
The top three in terms of the number of visas received were Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan - 2, 642 and 2, respectively.

More than a thousand visas were received by citizens of Georgia (1), Armenia (272) and Kyrgyzstan (1).
Residents of the rest have issued less than a thousand visas for each country:
- Belarus — 852
- Azerbaijan - 713
- Kazakhstan - 832
- Moldova - 478
- Tajikistan - 711
- Turkmenistan - 546
