North Korea threatens to turn the United States into ashes

North Korea threatens South Korea and the United States with “super-powerful pre-emptive strikes.” North Korea has stated that it will be ready to take such a step if the United States begins military maneuvers.

“If we launch our super-powerful and pre-emptive strike, we will destroy not only the US imperialist bases in South Korea, but also turn the US mainland into ashes,” writes the official newspaper of the North Korean Workers’ Party, Rodong Sinmun.

In turn, Deputy Foreign Minister of North Korea, Han Son Son Ruehl, said that the DPRK already has nuclear deterrent weapons and the country will not sit idly by, waiting for a possible US strike. The Korean People’s Army General Staff even clarified their military objectives: the US bases in South Korea, the residence of the President of South Korea, and the American aircraft carrier Karl Vinson, which is located at a missile attack distance from North Korea.

Threats from North Korea fell after the announcement by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson that the United States was exploring options for putting pressure on the DPRK regarding the implementation of its nuclear program.

US President Donald Trump takes a tough stance against North Korea's nuclear program. “We will send an armada, very powerful, we have submarines, very powerful, much more powerful than an aircraft carrier,” the president said. US Vice President Mike Pence said during a 10-day tour of Asia that the "era of strategic patience" with North Korea has come to an end.
