Dion postponed several performances in December 2022 after announcing that she had been diagnosed with rigidity syndrome, a condition she says prevents her from "singing the way I used to."
According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, the condition is "a rare progressive syndrome that affects the nervous system, especially the brain and spinal cord."
“Although we are only studying this rare disease, now we know for sure: this is what causes all my spasms,” Dion said. “Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life. They sometimes make walking difficult and prevent me from using my vocal cords to sing the way I'm used to."
Money for tickets to the singer's concerts will be returned at the place of purchase.
Rigidity Syndrome is a neurological and autoimmune disease in which muscles gradually tighten up, causing painful and debilitating spasms. In more extreme forms, it can make it difficult for people to walk or go about their daily lives. UNNO.
