Yevgeny Savenyok from Minnesota sentenced to 65 years for killing a pregnant wife

Evgeny Savenok pleaded guilty to atrocious murder his pregnant wife, Lubov, and his unborn son at their home in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, last May. He pleaded guilty to 2 counts of second-degree murder, which is punishable by 65 for years in prison. In return for frank confession, prosecutors dropped the charges of first-degree murder, which is punishable by life imprisonment without the right to parole, writes Fox News.

Both my wife and I wanted Ellis to survive, and we could accept him into our family.

The court documents detail the terrible attack on Saturday morning on May 14. Eugene Savenok came to his home in Eden Prairie, where the couple lived with 2 young children. Savenok grabbed a kitchen knife and inflicted wounds to Luba 7 or 8 before going on the run with the children.
Luba Savenok was declared dead on the spot, the unborn baby Ellis died 10 minutes after the ambulance doctors tried to save his life.

At about one in the morning, Savenok entered St. Paul's hospital with his children. He went to the guard and said that he had killed his wife. He called the police, and Savenok was arrested.

In a conversation with the police, Savenok told the investigators: "I killed my wife." Savenok said that on his way back from Chicago, he was thinking how to use a knife to kill his wife, and admitted that he knew about Lyuba’s pregnancy.

According to court documents, Yevgeny Savenok repeatedly beat his wife. It got to the point that women had to seek protection in the church.

The site GoFundMe collected $ 82 745 - more than half the required amount to pay for funeral services and help for motherless children.
