Russian satirist Mikhail Zadornov made a film about how Rus' was created. In the film entitled “Prophetic Oleg. Found reality,” Zadornov actually exposes the Russian, and at the same time the Ukrainian leadership, convinced that Rus' was baptized by the Kiev prince Vladimir, calling Oleg the creator of Rus'.

“The film was shot with public money” - this is the title that appears on the screen in the film’s trailer (see below). Zadornov collected three million rubles from his fans for the implementation of a completely non-satirical project, and the satirist invested another million himself.

At the moment, the work of the creative team is reaching the finish line. Premiere of the film “Prophetic Oleg. A Reality Found" will air on the REN TV channel on November 4, when Russia celebrates National Unity Day.

Here are the main theses of the film, which Mikhail Zadornov spoke about at a press conference at the Moscow editorial office of Komsomolskaya Pravda.

Russia was baptized long before Vladimir

“The film is modern. Today the Slavs are being pulled apart and they are quarreling again. In Kyiv, two impostors reigned, according to the chronicles, and they traded with Europe, and the people around became poor, they did not protect. The people paid tribute to the Khazars, and the Kyiv princes grew richer and richer. Well, guys, in general, how much more modern could it be? And traded with whom? With Europe, with Byzantium. They went to them all the time with humiliation, and their religion was actually accepted before Vladimir. It’s also a lie that Vladimir baptized - there were already churches before him.”

Writing Slavs existed before the advent of Cyrillic

“It is believed that the Cyrillic alphabet was invented by Kirill. Cyril was basically Saint Constantine. He's an interesting man, but he didn't invent. He wrote in his “Pannonian Life”: I received Russian letters from a Slavic Russian in Chersonesos (what is Chersonesus? Okay, let’s pass – Sevastopol). Scientists tell me: “The word “Syrian” was there, but “Russian” is a mistake.” Fine? In the entire “Pannonian Life” there is one mistake in one word. We didn’t run into a sucker!”

The “Slavic world” faced disrespect from Europe

“So that no one would know how developed the Slavic civilization was even before the adoption of Christianity in Rus', the chronicles were deliberately falsified by the monks. The first chroniclers were Christian monks. They tried to destroy our entire past before Christianity. In my opinion, this is a crime."​
