'The cutest criminal': a police dog caught in the theft of Christmas toys

Everyone has heard of the Grinch who stole Christmas, but what about the ability of the golden retriever? USA Today tells a sweet story about how a police dog from Massachusetts secretly stole Christmas toys collected for charity, and got caught on the hot when her misconduct was filmed.

Franklin Police Department's one-year-old dog, named Ben Franklin, was caught hot when she was stealing children's toys reserved by the department for the Santa Foundation, a Franklin-based charity.

When the dog was pretending to be a shaggy Grinch, Officer Eric Casson videotaped Ben pulling a doll in a toy carriage and carrying it in his mouth. His fluffy tail rocked back and forth as Ben Franklin walked down the corridor of the police department to his hideout.

“We have learned an extremely valuable lesson today,” the department later said on its Facebook page. - If you have a full class of toys ready to be sent to the Santa Claus Foundation, you should:

1. Close the door to the classroom

or:
2. Hide toys higher.

Otherwise, the golden retriever will slowly collect them throughout the day and drag them back to his den.”

On Tuesday evening, the department gathered dozens of gift bags for local families - the result was more than 100 toys. This is the fifth annual toy collection held by the police. As part of the family support campaign, they receive Christmas presents on their last weekend.

According to Sergeant Brian Johnson, the room was filled with gifts, which greatly interested the funny young dog. Social media users were fascinated by Ben Franklin and called him “the cutest criminal in the world.”
