Russian diplomats will make a consular departure to San Francisco from November to December, according to the website of the Russian Embassy in the United States.

“In connection with incoming requests from citizens living on the west coast of the United States, we inform you that in the period from November 26 to December 1 of this year. The Consular Section of the Russian Embassy in the USA is planning on-site consular services in San Francisco (California) and Seattle (Washington) on passport and pension issues,” writes the Russian Embassy in the USA in a post in Facebook.

The exact date and place of the meeting will be indicated on the website of the consular section and pages in social networks.

“We would like to assure everyone that we will do everything possible to make life here easier for our Russians; we will make more frequent consular visits. And the first one will take place literally within one month,” said RIA News Russian ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov.

He noted that the consulate general on the west coast is not enough not only as a place to provide consular services to citizens, but also as a center for communication with politicians and businessmen.

“After all, California occupies a special place among all American states,” the diplomat added.

“Many Russians came today who, for a number of reasons, live here or in towns not far from here and who are experiencing great difficulties in obtaining consular services. They really asked that our diplomats from the consular department come here in the near future,” Antonov added.

According to the ambassador, San Francisco residents find it difficult to travel to Washington themselves, where they can receive consular services.
