Russian army will take up history

A special company will appear in the Russian army to combat the falsification of history. It will be formed from historians and sociologists on the basis of the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of Russia in 2016.

In total, it is planned to deploy two scientific companies in addition to the eight already existing ones. They are designed to perform specific scientific and applied tasks on order and in the interests of the military administration.

“Young specialists will study, first of all, the history of the Second World War, facts related to the falsification of the victory of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War and other events from life and the Armed Forces,” a source told the Interfax agency.

Recall that the definition of falsification of history includes many scientific studies, contrary to the officially recognized point of view. This term is also used to accuse scientists of Ukraine and the Baltic countries.

History falsification hastened to accuse Svetlana Alexievich, winner of the Nobel Prize in literature for 2015 a year. According to critics, the documentary evidence collected by her belittles the feat of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
