Ilya and Masha made the final decision to move to the United States at the beginning of 2013, when she became pregnant. In Russia, both worked on television: she was the director, and I - in the service of audio technology. They met there. We traveled together to travel, including in America. Both always wanted to live in a year-round summer, so we liked two states: California and Florida - in the last our friends gave birth to a child, and we closely followed their experiences through social networks.

Road to miami

We also wanted to give birth to our baby in America, because in this case they give him a US passport and he becomes a citizen by birth. At the same time, the Russian passport remains, so he has a choice.

We did not borrow money from anyone: everything that we managed to accumulate during our work, we invested in our emigration. We bought tickets, we had a tourist status.

Originally planned to settle in a small town in Florida. They considered Orlando, but in the end we did not like it - it seemed boring. We decided to go to Miami - we had been there before, so we knew about its advantages.

First, we chose apartments cheaper - for a thousand dollars a month (this is unfurnished). Swimming pool, tennis court and gym in Miami is in almost every home.

I attended the birth from start to finish. As for the organization, I will say that everything is transparent: no one takes bribes in hospitals, as is customary in Russia. Suppose if you give us a “paw”, you will be given a better ward. In America, I did not notice such privileges. For example, in one month Ivanka Trump gave birth to us, and when she laid out photos from the ward, her baby was wrapped in exactly the same diaper as ours, because they are the same throughout the country.

All chambers are decent: we had it more like a room in a great hotel and, of course, separate. And you have already paid for everything: there is no such thing that the doctor needs to bring an envelope or some kind of gift separately. This was our first child, respectively, there were many questions with which we were helped in the hospital.

Deliveries here are not cheap: they cost us all 12 cost thousands of dollars. This is about how in Moscow in a good private clinic.

Next is business

At some point, it was time for us to change our status, because we could no longer stay on a tourist visa. The child was already born, and it was necessary to think of a legal way to stay. And we decided to open a company - our business.

When we planned departure, we thought what we would do in a new place. We considered various options, and one of them was the creation of a blog on YouTube, which we started even before leaving Moscow. The blog is called FamilyRUSA.

In the first video we talked about how and why we go to America to give birth, and already in Miami we started shooting about everything: raising a child, food, real estate, medicine, good weather and so on. For three years we have accumulated a lot of subscribers who are interested in what we are talking about.

Those who watched our videos, it was interesting how to rent or buy housing in Miami. Someone needed to get advice about childbirth. We decided to develop this topic: people began to contact us and we helped them find the right options.

When someone comes to give birth in Miami, Masha and I serve them ourselves - we don’t hire any people, but we’re always close by. In this regard, we are winning companies that have state employees for 10.

Back in Moscow, we had our own company that was engaged in photo and video filming. We continued to do this in the States. And periodically we shoot plots for television or advertising for local companies.

In Russia, it is accepted that a woman after birth gives birth to a child. It happened so that we work together, we bring up our son together - we help each other in everything.

Ten thousand dollars a month for expenses

With the child, we plunged into a new life, were very happy. But increased costs. Garden fee: prices start at 500 dollars and end up somewhere 3,5 thousands. We pay about a thousand dollars for the kindergarten of our child: this is an institution with a sports bias, which includes different sections. At the same time, it is customary for children to take food from home.

The system of education here is different from the Russian one: based on what I see, here most of the children are smiling, they are positive.

Only the cost of an apartment, kindergarten, insurance, car, communications, food, and so on are about ten thousand dollars a month. At the same time, many Russians do not understand: when they transfer this amount to rubles, it seems to them that this is a lot. For example, they bought bread for three dollars, and for rubles it is almost 200 - and for them it is a lot. I'm already used to dollar handling. You stop constantly converting to rubles and comparing when you start earning in dollars.

In my free time I like to walk on the beach - they are everywhere public and very beautiful. I spend a lot of time with the child.

In the vicinity there are many ways to have fun: amusement parks in Orlando (Disney, Universal, Safari), water parks and zoos, ocean fishing. A lot of cruise liners, where you can sail to the Bahamas - they are just a hundred kilometers away.

Trump's Six Houses

Property prices vary greatly: from the minimum thousand dollars for apartments without furniture and to infinity. For example, there are even “designer” houses here - with interiors by Armani or Porsche.

Not far from us there are six Trump houses: one hotel and five residential buildings, the cost of apartments in which starts from a million dollars. All buildings are located on the first coastline.

By the way, to the victory of Trump in the elections there responded differently, but personally I did not expect it at all. Under Hillary, the course in politics would not have changed, but with it there must be a change.

You can return any item

You can stand in line for bread, some billionaire and a bum - everyone here is absolutely equal. Due to the fact that it is warm all the time, most people are very lightly dressed: shorts, T-shirt and flip flops. Everything is on relaxation - it suits someone, but it may not please someone. You can call Miami a huge village: despite the fact that it is a big city, life is quite measured.

It is interesting that in the store you can return any products, and no one will say a word to you: it does not matter whether it is food or things. If you bought a damaged product, you don’t even have to take it to the store: you can tell everything, you can show a photo, and you will be returned with a check. The same with the technique: bought a TV, but you did not like it - you can return.

Concerning religion: representatives of various confessions live here, and everyone lives and communicates well. We are Orthodox, and for us here too there is a temple - the holy Matrona of Moscow.

It seems to me that people who emigrate here do not feel very lonely, because there are many Russians here. If you walk the streets of the area in which we live, then almost all the passers-by will be Russian. For example, Americans rarely walk the streets, they are more likely to travel by car. But people walking on sidewalks with wheelchairs, mostly all Russians.

It does not matter what nationality you are - respect for any person. And nobody considers Russians as enemies.
Our friends are also mostly Russian, we communicate with many people and do not feel lonely. Of course, we miss our parents, friends from Russia. But here it is, our life here, we ourselves have chosen it for ourselves and are pleased.
