A Chick-fil-A worker saved the visitor from suffocation. VIDEO
Chick-fil-A in Austin, Texas, became a hero after rescuing a client who choked on food.
23-year-old Hunter Harris ran out from behind the counter at the Chick-fil-A restaurant at Southpark Meadows, seeing that the restaurant was in mortal danger to one of its customers.
The incident occurred around 18 p.m. Security cameras captured video of a man wearing a white baseball cap choking. The visitor ran up to the man and attempted to perform the Heimlich maneuver, an effective emergency medical technique used to clear a person's airway of food or other foreign objects stuck in them that can cause suffocation.
Despite all the efforts, she did not succeed. Then Harris ran out from behind the bar and rushed to the rescue.
“I knew right away that something had to be done,” Harris told the site. — There was no hesitation. It was a scary situation, but I knew I would do my best. I knew he needed help."
Thanks to Harris, the man was still alive. The management called the employee a hero and thanked for his reaction. Meanwhile, Harris himself said that he was happy to be in the right place at the right time.
By taking Heimlich's intake, you increase the pressure in the abdominal cavity and in the diaphragm, thereby pushing the stuck object out with air. If you know how to properly perform this technique, and are ready to use this knowledge, then you will be able to save someone's life.
