The real name of the American is Loeb Strauss. He was born in Germany and moved to the United States at age 18. There he changed his name to a more American one.

Levi had a great talent as a traveling salesman. As soon as he learned that they had discovered a gold deposit in California, he immediately rushed there. His role was not in gold mining, but in the sale of haberdashery, in particular canvas for tents, in which, as a rule, seekers of jewelry lived.

Once a disgruntled customer approached Strauss's shop and immediately began complaining to the seller that his work uniform was torn quickly and there were not enough pockets. This led to the fact that Levy soon created pants from canvas fabric. They had comfortable rivets and many pockets.

Joseph Michael Schenck

The real name of this person is Joseph Mikhailovich Sheinker. He was born on the territory of the Russian Empire, but together with his brother left to seek his fate in the United States. At first, the brothers ran amusement parks, on the territories of which new items were installed - cinemas.
