Two main features of Americans follow from this:

1. They are well versed in what they learned, but it is difficult for them to be creative in solving the same problems with a different approach.

Of course, there are exceptions and, of course, there are other features and examples. However, knowing this particular feature, it is easier for many foreigners to jump the Americans up the career ladder in their own territory.
