Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the nation's favorite holiday event, returns to the web3 virtual world this season with a brand new experience. Fans will be able to choose the first ever Macy's Parade Balloon NFT (non-fungible token).

This time around, it will be possible to experience a virtual metaverse parade that will include virtual galleries of five NFT projects and the opportunity for fans to vote for their favorite creators. This will help one of their projects come to life at Macy's Parade next year.

“We're excited to bring this spectacle back to the web3 virtual landscape with a fun experience that empowers our fans, collectors and our active Discord community,” said Will Koss, executive producer of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. “Our Parade NFT collection was so successful last year that we wanted to give our digital community the opportunity to choose their own NFT design to transform into a real-life Macy's Parade balloon, while also creating an opportunity to raise needed funds for our partner Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.” .

The Metaverse experience will be powered by OnCyber, available to fans and collectors starting Thursday, November 24 at 9:00 AM EDT. The virtual parade can be accessed at Macys.com/NFT on any device without the need for a crypto wallet, complex login or virtual reality headset. The Metaverse Parade will include the iconic Macy's Parade balloon flight. These balloon creations were first introduced as collectible NFTs released last year to celebrate the 95th anniversary of Macy's Parade.

As part of the virtual parade, fans can explore five galleries featuring NFT collections from Boss Beauties, Cool Cats, gmoney, SupDucks and VeeFriends. From Thursday, November 9 at 00:24 AM until Sunday, December 4 at 23:59 PM, fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite project, with the winner making their balloon a reality at the 97th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2023. The first 100 fans to vote will receive a free Macy's collection digital item. Voting does not require a purchase. Official voting rules will be available at Online from 24 November.

Collectors will have the option to create a virtual gallery pass to secure a spot on the OnCyber ​​NFT. Seats will be distributed on December 5th. A virtual gallery pass will cost $50, with 100 percent of the cost going to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA). Thus, by using NFT technology, Macy's is helping to create a brighter future for young people by fostering life-changing long-term mentoring experiences.
