Fire on a ship with tourists off the coast of the United States: among the dead there is a Russian woman

A native of Russia, Yulia Krashennaya, presumably died during a fire aboard a tourist boat for divers who sank off the coast of California. Writes about this «РИА Новости».

Yulia's name appeared on the list of the dead. The girl worked as a manager at SpiralLinks. The company confirmed that Krashennaya is their employee. According to RIA Novosti, the profile photo and pictures of her with her also deceased friend Dan Garcia match the image on the Facebook account of a user with the same name.

According to RIA Novosti, Yulia Krashennaya studied at Moscow school 1263 with in-depth study of the English language. There is a photo on Facebook taken during her scuba dive. According to media reports, the couple was fond of scuba diving.

Krashennaya’s former classmate Anna Starovoitova, also depicted with her in a school photograph, confirmed to RIA Novosti that the girl left with her parents for the United States at the end of third grade.

No comments were received at the Embassy of the Russian Federation, the Santa Barbara Police, and Krashenna’s employer regarding her citizenship.

The Embassy of the Russian Federation sent a request to the US State Department on the death of Julia.

“In connection with media reports that during a recent fire on board a tourist ship in California, Russian native Yulia Krashennaya allegedly died, a new request was sent to the State Department. We are checking to see if the deceased has Russian citizenship,” the message says.

The consulate of the Russian Federation sent the first request for the presence of Russian citizens on board after the news of the fire and the deaths of dozens of people on board the vessel, follows from the previous message from the diplomatic mission. It was not reported whether any response to the request was received and, if so, what was its content.
